About Fraunces

Fraunces is a serif typeface designed by Undercase Type, Phaedra Charles, Flavia Zimbardi, published as an open-source font in 2020. It carries a distinctly vintage character and serious headline presence, which shapes where it works best. The family ships 18 styles and is available as a variable font, so any weight in between is available too.

Language support extends beyond basic Latin to latin-ext, vietnamese. Because Fraunces is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, you can use it in commercial work without buying anything or crediting anyone in the design itself.
