Fancy Text Generator
Type or paste your text below and get dozens of fancy versions instantly. The output is not a font, it is real Unicode characters, so you can copy any style and paste it into Instagram bios, Discord names, TikTok captions, or anywhere else that accepts text.
Every style below rewrites as you type. Tap Copy to take one.
How it works
- 01 Type or paste your text in the box above.
- 02 Scroll the list of styles and find one you like.
- 03 Hit copy, then paste it into your bio, post, or username.
How fancy text actually works
There is no font trick here. Unicode, the character standard behind all modern text, includes a block called Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols. It was added so mathematicians could tell a bold A from an italic A in equations, and it contains full alphabets in script, fraktur, double-struck, bold, and more. This generator maps each letter you type to its counterpart in one of those alphabets. What you copy is a string of distinct characters, which is why the styling survives pasting into places that strip formatting.
Where you can paste it
Anywhere plain text goes: Instagram bios and captions, TikTok profiles, X and Threads posts, Discord usernames and messages, YouTube comments, Twitch panels, WhatsApp statuses, and most game name fields. Because the style is baked into the characters themselves, no app on the receiving end needs to do anything special.
Caveats worth knowing
A few platforms limit which characters usernames may contain, so a style that pastes fine into a bio may be rejected in a handle. Older devices and some system fonts lack glyphs for the rarer alphabets and show empty boxes instead. And search fields usually treat fancy characters as different from normal letters, so a stylized username can be harder to find. When it matters, test the style on the platform first.
Pick a lane
If you want one specific look, the focused tools give you more variations of it: the cursive text generator for script styles, the gothic text generator for blackletter, the bubble text generator for circled letters, and the glitch text generator for corrupted zalgo text. And if you need a real, installable font for a logo or a Cricut project rather than paste-anywhere characters, browse our cursive fonts, all verified free for commercial use.
Questions
Does fancy text work on Instagram?
Yes. Bios, captions, comments, and Notes all accept these characters. Usernames are stricter: Instagram handles only allow letters, numbers, periods, and underscores, so paste fancy text into your display name or bio instead.
Why does the styling survive when I paste it anywhere?
Because it is not styling. Each fancy letter is a separate Unicode character with its look built in, like an emoji. Any app that can display text can display it, no fonts or formatting required.
Why do some styles show up as boxes on my device?
Your device's fonts are missing glyphs for those characters. This mostly affects older phones and some smart TVs. The text is still intact; it just cannot be drawn. Common styles like bold and script have the widest support.
Is this generator free to use?
Yes, completely. Unicode characters are part of the open text standard, so there is nothing to license. Use the output anywhere, including commercial accounts.
