Bubble Text Generator
Type your text and get each letter wrapped in its own circle or square. These bubble letters are single Unicode characters, so you can copy them and paste them into Instagram comments, Discord names, TikTok bios, or any other text field.
Every style below rewrites as you type. Tap Copy to take one.
How it works
- 01 Enter the text you want in bubbles.
- 02 Pick between outlined circles, filled circles, or squares.
- 03 Copy the bubble text and paste it into your bio, comment, or chat.
Letters in circles, by standard
Bubble text comes from Unicode's Enclosed Alphanumerics blocks, sets of characters where each letter or number sits inside its own circle or square. They were originally encoded for compatibility with East Asian typesetting and legacy character sets, where circled numbers marked list items and squared letters served as compact labels. Each bubble letter is one character, circle included, which is why the bubbles stay intact wherever you paste them.
White or black bubbles
The circled style gives outlined letters, dark letter in a thin ring. The filled (negative) versions reverse it: white letters punched out of solid black circles or squares, which read bolder in a feed and are popular for spelling out names in bios. Fullwidth is the odd one out here, no enclosure, but its wide, evenly spaced East Asian layout gives a similar chunky rhythm and pairs well with bubble letters in the same bio.
Support notes
Circled letters and numbers have excellent support because they predate most decorative Unicode. The filled circle and square alphabets arrived later and a few older devices lack them, showing boxes instead. Number coverage also differs by style: circled numbers exist up to 50, but the filled sets cover fewer, so a mixed letter-and-number string may render unevenly. As with most stylized text, bios and comments accept bubbles while username fields usually do not.
Bubble lettering is also a craft staple. If you are cutting vinyl or making stickers, you want a real rounded typeface, not paste-anywhere characters; our cricut fonts collection has bold, cuttable faces verified free for commercial use.

Questions
Does bubble text work on Discord?
Yes, in messages, server nicknames, and channel names. Discord renders the circled and filled alphabets well. On Instagram and TikTok it works in bios and comments but not in usernames.
Why do the bubbles stay attached to the letters everywhere?
Each bubble letter is a single Unicode character with the circle built into the glyph. There is no border or styling applied on top, so no platform can separate the bubble from the letter.
Why do the filled black bubbles show as empty boxes for some people?
The filled circle and square alphabets were added to Unicode later than the outlined ones, and some older devices lack fonts covering them. The outlined circled style has the widest support.
Can I bubble numbers too?
Yes. Circled digits are actually the oldest part of these blocks, covering 0 through 50 in the outlined style. The filled styles cover fewer numbers, so mixed strings can look uneven there.
