About Lilex

Lilex is a monospace typeface designed by Mike Abbink, Paul van der Laan, Pieter van Rosmalen, Mikhael Khrustik, published as an open-source font in 2025. The family ships 14 styles and is available as a variable font, so any weight in between is available too.

Language support extends beyond basic Latin to cyrillic, cyrillic-ext, greek, latin-ext, symbols2. Because Lilex is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, you can use it in commercial work without buying anything or crediting anyone in the design itself.
