About Urbanist

Urbanist is a sans serif typeface designed by Corey Hu, published as an open-source font in 2021. It carries serious headline presence and a calm, even rhythm, which shapes where it works best. The family ships 18 styles and is available as a variable font, so any weight in between is available too.

Language support extends beyond basic Latin to latin-ext. Because Urbanist is licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, you can use it in commercial work without buying anything or crediting anyone in the design itself.

The SIL Open Font License is the most common open font licence.
