About Brandon Grotesque

Brandon Grotesque was designed by Hannes von Döhren and released by HvD Fonts in 2010. It takes its cue from the geometric sans serifs of the 1920s and 30s, but softens them with slightly rounded corners and a small x-height, which gives the letters a warm, slightly nostalgic feel.

The family runs from Thin to Black with matching italics. The light weights look elegant and airy, while the black weight is punchy and friendly, and both became signatures of 2010s lifestyle branding. You see it on coffee bags, boutique packaging, wedding stationery and fashion labels, often set in spaced-out capitals.
