About White On Black

White On Black is an eroded display font by imagex, published on dafont in 2018. Each capital is cut out in white from its own rough black label, with worn edges and texture, so words look like a punk ransom note or embossed tape.

It is all caps: the lowercase keys type the same capitals. It has numbers and some punctuation, and the designer notes that typing + gives a black space so the labels join up. It suits punk and music posters, zines, album covers and edgy social graphics.
