About Recoleta

Recoleta is a retro serif designed by Jorge Cisterna and published by Latinotype, a type foundry in Chile, in 2018. Latinotype describes it as mixing ingredients from popular 1970s typefaces: soft, gentle shapes like Cooper and fluid, angled strokes like Windsor.

The free demo has the Regular weight with capitals, lowercase, numbers and punctuation, for testing only. The full family adds more weights and stylistic alternates. It suits food and cafe branding, packaging, book covers and editorial headlines.
