About Satoshi

Satoshi was designed by Deni Anggara for Indian Type Foundry and is distributed free through Fontshare, ITF's free font library. The family has five weights from Light to Black, each with an italic, and a variable version that covers everything in between.

It mixes grotesque letterforms with a few strictly geometric characters, a balance that draws on Modernist and industrial-era design. The result looks crisp and current without being sterile, which is why Satoshi became a go-to for SaaS landing pages, portfolios and startup brand kits. It is equally comfortable as a large headline and as short interface text.

Figtree has Satoshi's clean, friendly geometry and a full weight range from Light to Black. It is open source under the OFL, so you can also self-host and redistribute it.

DM Sans is a low-contrast geometric sans with the same crisp modern tone. Its optical size axis keeps small text readable.

Albert Sans takes a Scandinavian, modernist approach close to Satoshi's grotesque-meets-geometric mix, with nine weights and italics.

Manrope blends geometric and grotesque shapes much like Satoshi, and its variable weight axis makes it easy to match a design system.

Onest is a neat, modern grotesque designed for interfaces. It gives you a similar look with extended Cyrillic support.
